Renewal Applications for Lobbyist Security Cards

Dear MGRA Member: 

We have been informed that the lobbyist badges have been extended until November 1.  DGS changed the expiration date so they can issue badges to coincide with the lobbyist registration each year.  You will need a copy of the 2009 lobbyist registration form when you go to submit for the id cards.  The cost to renew your card is $50 and needs to be submitted with the application and a copy of your current registration with the State Ethics Commission.  Following are links to the application forms from the Department of General Services.

Renewal Question

There was a question about how to handle renewals on the application form. DGS response is as follows:Because

DGS is issuing a new Security Card, the process (application, background check, photo and card) is new each year, therefore, DGS considers this a new application. Please check the "new" box on the application form.
